easyMarkets Broker Detailed Review

Trading Accounts

EasyMarkets feature 3 accounts – two standard ones and a more VIP account that has a c0uple more feature than the standard accounts.

Standard Account

This account requires a minimum deposit of $100 and with it, you get all of the basic trading features including a dedicated account manager, an introduction to the trading platform, some basic education in trading if you would like to take advantage of that.  This is a standard account, with a trusted broker, but only having $100 USD in the account will not give you much margin if you plan to trade with higher leverage.  A simple starter account, but if you are serious, consider upgrading.

VIP account

This account is for someone who trades seriously or for a living.  A minimum deposit of $2500 gives you access to all the basic features in the Standard account, but also SMS updates on market information, faster withdrawals and an analyst to work with. I think this feature is good for anyone who wants to learn more about trading and other markets.

Trading Platform

EasyMarkets have a web-based type of trading system that is their in-house proprietary platform, but if you like the familiarity of MetaTrader4, then it’s available. Your spreads are fixed but your account status gives you different choices based on your level.

Mobile applications are also supported. They employ the latest encryption technology to protect your trading activity as well as your personal information.

Spreads and Leverage

These vary according to account level but for forex pairs. It is 1 pip as a VIP or Standard 1 Pip, otherwise 3 pips for the Standard account. Leverage can be as high as 400:1.

Regulation

EasyMarkets has both Australian and European regulation.  Australian clients are regulated under the EasyMarkets PTY Ltd company with ASIC license number 246566 while clients signing up from other jurisdictions around the world will be signed up with Easy Forex Trading Ltd which is regulated under CySEC Licence Number: 079/07.

Deposits and Withdrawals

All the normal deposit systems apply like credit/debit cards and bank wire. Other online systems like Skrill, Neteller and Webmoney can also be utilized.  Withdrawals are executed quickly, but express withdrawal is available for VIP accounts.

Customer Support

The normal business days apply and then there is 24-hour service on those days. You can use live chat, email, fax, and phone as well. Offices are in Shanghai, Sydney, London, Warsaw, and Cyprus making all timezones adequately covered. EasyMarkets has ebooks, glossary, videos, and a learning centre to help and support its customers for all the levels of training.

Overall

EasyMarkets, backed by two regulatory bodies, is consistently good and operates a growing business with happy traders as customers.  They work hard to keep up with market innovations, have strong customer support, and trading accounts that are clear in the service they offer.

Trading Forex and CFDs is not suitable for all investors and comes with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. 75-90% of retail investors lose money trading these products. You should consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money.
